TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Maximum length for EJ Brady Major Short Story entries is 2500 words. The Very Short Stories must not exceed 700 words. The judges reserve the right to reject work exceeding the word limit.
2. There is no set theme; you may write on anything.
3. Entry fee is $10 for EJ Brady Major Short Story, $7 for Very Short Story. Entry fee MUST be submitted with each entry, by cheque or postal money order payable to Mallacoota Arts Council.
4. Each entry must have a separate entry form. Use the entry form on the following page. Name, address, email and telephone number must appear on a covering sheet but not on any of the pages of the manuscript itself.
5. Closing date for entries– Friday 21st September 2007. Entries received after this date will NOT be considered.
6. All entries must be fiction, original and previously unpublished works of the signatory.
7. Any works submitted must not have won prizes, contracts or cash in any other competition.
8. All entries must be typed and double-spaced on A4 paper.
9. The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
10. Copyright will remain with the author but the Mallacoota Arts Council reserves the right to reproduce the prize-winning and short listed stories, at any point in the future, in hard copy, performance readings and electronic media.
11. Manuscripts will not be returned unless requested and a SSAE is enclosed with entry.
